During
Spring 2010, the Health Status Working Group studied the health status
of the state’s older and disabled adult population in order to develop
policy recommendations addressing health concerns and to enhance the
state’s ability to track progress toward health improvements.
In evaluating the health status of older and disabled adults, the working group:
● Identified and compiled data on
major health conditions;
● Collected and reviewed data
provided by hospitals and long-term care service providers on the
current cost of care;
● Identified the locations of
licensed health facilities providing care; and
● Developed key policy
recommendations to address the current and future health needs of this
population.
At the June 2010 Partner Summit, presentations based on the following materials were presented.
