The
Home and Community-Based Services Working Group met throughout
Spring 2010 to study and develop recommendations to improve the
availability, quality and affordability of home and community-based
services for older West Virginians and adults with disabilities.
The working group:

Compiled information on home and community-based services in West
Virginia;
● Analyzed state aged and
disabled funding including Medicaid waiver programs;
● Reviewed and built upon the past work
of Vision Shared's Long-Term
Care Taskforce Report and the Public Consulting Group's “Money
Follows the Person” and Long Term Care System Rebalancing Study;
and
●
Identified short and long-term policy recommendations regarding home
and community-based services in West Virginia.
